Our Representative Director participated in writing "Fusion Energy Technology R&D Priorities" published by Elsevier.

Specialist books on fusion technology are published by Elsevier.

In November 2024, Elsevier published a specialist book in the field of fusion technology.

"Fusion Energy Technology R&D Priorities"

was published.

This book was written by researchers and engineers at the forefront of fusion research and development worldwide, and is a specialist text that systematically summarises the R&D challenges and future technical priorities for achieving fusion energy.

Authored the chapter on the Vacuum Vessel

Our Representative Director, Kimihiro Ioki, authored Chapter 8 of this book,

"ITER Vacuum Vessel"

was responsible for.

The ITER vacuum vessel is one of the central components of a fusion reactor, playing an extremely important role in maintaining ultra-high vacuum, radiation shielding, supporting equipment, and safety functions.

Ioki has been involved in the R&D and design of the vacuum vessel since the early stages of the ITER project, and has led international projects for many years, including serving as Vacuum Vessel Division Head at the ITER Organization.

Co-authored by global experts

This book was planned and edited by experts from the international fusion technology community, primarily led by the American Nuclear Society (ANS).

The editor, Laila El-Guebaly, expressed her gratitude to the authors for their contributions to

"Fusion Energy Technology R&D Priorities"

, indicating that the book is positioned as an important technical reference in the field of fusion technology.
